Treatment Room

The treatment room is open daily between 8.30am - 12.15pm and 2.00 - 4.45pm. It is not appropriate to attend the treatment room with: skin rashes, sore throats/ears, sports injuries, colds/influenza, chest infections or back/joint pain.

Test Results

Results of investigatins undertaken by the practice e.g. blood test, biopsies, x-rays, smears are available by phone from the receptionist at any time.  Results of investigatins taken at hospital are not routinely available unless stated by the hospital; such results can take up to four to six weeks to arrive.

It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if you are advised to do so.

Pleae note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior written permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.

Due to Health & Social Care procedure the treatment room are unable to process urine samples which do not have a completed form & Label on the sample bottle.

To assist with this process please click the link below to print a form and label which can be taped to the sample bottle.

*Please note our administration team are not permitted to handle any samples being left at the practice due to infection control.

Minor Ailments Scheme & your local pharmacy

We are currently working with community pharmicies to streamline the service we provide. 

Why wait to see your GP when you can go straight to your local pharmacy?  The pharmacists are trained to deal with a number of minor ailments & you will receive quick, expert advice without unnecessary delays in waiting for a prescription to be processed by your GP. This service is free of charge!

Ailments covered are:

1.  Vaginal Thrush                              6.  Oral Thrush         

2.  Headlice                                       7.  Col d Sores

3.  Mouth ulcers                                 8.  Treadworms

4.  Athlete's foot                                 9.  Groin itch

5.  Diarrhoea                                      10. Ear wax

What will the pharmacist ask?

The pharmacist will ask about:

1.  Your symptoms,                            2.  Other Medication you take         3.  Illnesses you have.

This will help them make an appropriate recommendation for treatment.  In some cases the pharmacist may need to refer you to the GP but in a majority of cases the pharmacist will be able to treat you.
